Our Love Story
We met on a dating app on the very day we were both about to delete it. Clearly, God
had other plans for us.
From our very first message, it felt as though we had known each other forever. When he
suggested one of my favourite restaurants for our first date, I knew we were already off
to a great start. What was meant to be a quick after-work drink turned into dinner… and
before we knew it, we were the last ones there as the restaurant closed around us.
As we walked to our cars that night, I knew in my heart that I wanted to see her again.
And by the time I got home, I was already texting to ask when we could plan our next
date.
Two weeks later, we went to Bible study together but had a quick dinner beforehand.
That night, he started a little tradition—folding a “ring” out of a straw wrapper and
placing it on my finger. It was also the first time that I told her that I wanted to marry her.
What felt sweet and playful in that moment would become something so much more
meaningful.
Over the next year, there were many more paper rings, countless shared meals
(because we both really love food), and endless adventures filled with laughter, faith,
and so much love.
Then, on the 30th of December 2025, he replaced the paper ring with a real one and
asked me to be his wife.
And of course, with the happiest heart, I said yes.
